Government-Controlled Power is wrong for Maine

Pine Tree Power = $13.5 billion in debt

A plan to seize Maine’s electric grid and create a government controlled electric utility is on the ballot this November. Mainers would be on the hook for billions in debt, and it could lead to higher taxes or cuts in critical services we rely on.

A government takeover means borrowing $13.5 billion from big banks – over 2X the entire state budget

This November 7th, Mainers will be asked:

Do you want to create a new quasi-governmental owned power company governed by an elected board to acquire and operate existing for-profit electricity transmission and distribution facilities in Maine?

Add your name to the growing list of Mainers who say no to Pine Tree Power.
